International Dead Wood Course 2019: the work continues
Students and instructors of the International Dead Wood Course 2019 which took place at Voronezhkiy Reserve in June, prepared a dataset of species observed during field trips around the Reserve and surrounding Voronezhsky Region. The preliminary list of species occurrence includes fungi, invertebrates and vascular plants found specifically at the Reserve, as well as nearby Voronezh city in an oak-dominated forest growing on sides of a dry creek, and a young 9 years old pine forest forming on a site after a massive fire.
The list is not a complete inventory and does not represent the full biodiversity of species of the explored territories. The dataset is published in order to demonstrate methods used in biological inventory and open biodiversity data publishing to the course participants, as well as the specialists working at the Reserve.
This is the first time when the biodiversity data from Voronezh Reserve is published using an international portal of the Global Biodiversity Information Facility. This dataset is the first publication at the Voronezh Reserve account at GBIF: https://www.gbif.org/dataset/957c25e8-d52d-4b38-b400-aea0ef729c0c
